Troy studied photography at Unitec in Auckland. After graduating he assisted various advertising photographers which gave him the opportunity to develop his unique style. He is a young passionate photographer who is inspired by the execution of strong concepts, whether pure interaction of light and composition or stylised portraits. Having recently won Canon young photographer of the year he is considered by the advertising industry as the 'one to watch'. Troy's innate lighting ability coupled with his extensive retouching skills produces work with a strong stylistic unity often containing subtle humour.
